- Yes, I am in-network with Aetna insurance. In addition, most PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of our out-of-network services. We are happy to provide a superbill for you to give to your insurance provider. We encourage you to speak to your insurance provider before scheduling your appointment to determine if you can be reimbursed.
- If you are coming to therapy, we know that you want to make sure it is effective. For that reason, we focus on using multiple forms of data to assess progress. First, we use well researched assessment measures to track symptoms. Second, we develop individualized goals for treatment that we regularly evaluate to ensure we are making progress. Finally, we ask you! If the data is showing that treatment isn't working as expected, we use that information to pivot so we make sure we are on the right track.
- Practice assignments will depend on your goals and the treatment you and your provider choose. Some example practice assignments are tracking your thoughts or emotions, practicing coping skills (e.g. paced breathing), mindfulness meditations, trying out a new hobby, or scheduling time to start doing things you may avoid. All practice assignments are tailored to help you take steps towards your goals and the life you want to live.
- At Vibrant and Whole, we take a holistic approach that incorporates each individual's culture, unique diversity factors, and context. We work from an intersectional lens that takes into account how different aspects of our identities (race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability status, level of acculturation etc.) impact our lives. We also pay attention to the micro cultures individuals are part of (such as individual family culture) and the energy that may be required as we transition between cultures throughout our day. Through this, we are careful to adapt evidence based models so that they make sense within each client's individual context. Central to our approach is a spirit of humility, curiosity, and celebration as we work with clients to honor and celebrate what is most important to them, while letting go of the things they've identified are no longer helpful.
- Clients who do not present for their scheduled appointment are charged the full fee. If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify your therapist at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to late cancellation fee (cost of the session). Exceptions may apply for emergencies or sudden illness.
- If you are unhappy with how therapy is going, let us know so we can reassess and make some shifts. We know therapy is a collaborative process so your feedback is essential to reach your goals. If you are realizing that we aren't the best fit, we also are happy to provide referrals for other teams who may be a better fit.
